Kid Rock, Iron Maiden Lead Most Anticipated 2015 Albums List
. Kid Rock, First Kiss (Feb. 24): Detroit rocker Kid Rock released his last album, Rebel Soul, in 2012, and he's already back with another. First Kiss, out Feb. 24, 2015, will offer nine songs, all self-produced by Kid Rock in his Michigan studio. He also worked with producer Dan Huff on two of the tracks. Last time around, Kid Rock embarked on the $20 Best Night Ever tour to promote his album, which offered affordable $20 tickets so almost anyone could enjoy the shows. I'm from Michigan, so Kid Rock is in my blood. He can sure rock a live show; his band is seasoned and full of life. Iron Maiden (TBA): Okay, we're not 100% sure this one will arrive in 2015, but the band is dropping some major hints. A few weeks ago, metal lads Iron Maiden [sent fan club members] Christmas cards with the group's mascot, Eddie, dashing out of a snow-covered brick house-or, wait, it's a recording studio! Many fans are interpreting the message to mean the band will release its follow-up to 2010's The Final Frontier in 2015. Fueling the idea is the fact the guys are rumored to be hanging out in Paris with longtime producer Kevin Shirley, recording new music. Put this one on the wait-and-see list. Red Hot Chili Peppers (TBA): California funk-rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers released their last album, I'm With You, in 2011. It was the first album to feature new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer after the departure of John Frusciante in 2009. Now, the guys have been holed up in the studio, working with a "top secret" producer and recording songs for a 2015 release. The release of I'm With You was accompanied by a special, live concert screening at select movie theaters across North America of the Peppers performing the new tunes. Will the boys will do it again? We shall see. See who else made the list here. Gibson.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
