Lynyrd Skynyrd Recording Album Concerts For DVD and TV (A Top Story)
. The band will be performing the special shows at the Florida Theatre in Jacksonville, FL on February 12th and 13th. On the first night they will perform their 1973 debut album "Pronounced 'Leh-'nerd 'Skin-'nerd" which features the classic songs "Free Bird", "Tuesday's Gone," and "Simple Man". The second night they will perform their 1974 album "Second Helping" which includes the anthem "Sweet Home Alabama". They also will be performing other classic songs during both shows, according to the Florida Times-Union. There is no word yet when the band plan to release the live DVD or any additional details about the television special. Johnny Van Zant told the paper, "We've been wanting to go back and recreate these live records for a long time, "We decided to come back to our hometown, Jacksonville, and play at the legendary Florida Theatre.
