Here is the recap: (Radio.com) The Charlie Daniels Band's annual Volunteer Jam will be celebrating its 40th anniversary next year. The star-studded benefit concert will be held on Aug. 12, 2015 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena and will include performances by the Charlie Daniels Band, Travis Tritt, Montgomery Gentry, Billy Ray Cyrus, the Outlaws, Lee Roy Parnell and The Kentucky Headhunters, with more acts to be announced in the coming months.

'We never had any idea how big it would become, broadcasting around the world and on Voice of America," Daniels said in a press release. "We thought it was a hometown thing. We never realized it would become an international event. I hope to see more Nashville Volunteer Jams in the future. I'm very very excited to continue the Jam tradition 40 years later. Ain't it good to be alive and be in Tennessee."

Profits from the Volunteer Jam will go to The Journey Home Project, which helps Veterans of the United States Armed Forces, and The Predators Foundation, which aims to bring the excitement of professional sports to Nashville.
