. On Wednesday The National Team With Bob's Burgers For Christmas Video was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) Brooklyn sad-gaze rockers The National have had a long-running, if unlikely, kinship with the cartoon Bob's Burgers for a few years now, beginning with their Thanksgiving cover of Linda Belcher's 'Thanksgiving Song" and proceeding further into the melancholy for 'Sailors In Your Gravy Boats" last year.

So, for Christmas in 2014, we get "Christmas Magic," and an accompanying music video in which each member of the band is a Christmas tree ornament.

Frontman Matt Berninger is an elf, the Dessner brothers are an angel and a reindeer respectively, while the rhythm section sports outfits of a snowman and a nutcracker.

The clip manages to be predictably dreary while simultaneously endearing and adorable. A lot of this credit has to go to the animators, for perfectly matching the band members intonations with have the cartoons squint their eyes or furrow their brows.
