Wilko Johnson To Join Status Quo's Frantic Four At Upcoming Shows

02/03/2014
.
(Classic Rock) Wilko Johnson will support Status Quo's Frantic Four lineup on six shows of their final tour. The terminally ill guitarist continues to work despite doctors having predicted his cancer would have killed him by last October.

He's just confirmed the release of an album, Going Back Home, with Who singer Roger Daltrey. Now he'll open some of the last shows to be played by Francis Rossi, Rick Parriff, Alan Lancaster and John Coghlan. Johnson says he's delighted to be "working with the mighty Quo."

And Rossi adds: "Wilko is a true British original. We're delighted to have him on the road with us, and we know the Quo audience will welcome him and his band with open arms." more on this story
