Avenged Sevenfold Launching Shepherd of Fire Tour

. Avenged Sevenfold have announced that they will be launching a North American tour dubbed 'Shepherd of Fire Tour," named after their chart topping single.

The band will be kicking off the tour, featuring support from Hellyeah, on April 12th at EnCana Events Centre in Dawson Creek, BC and wrapping up the trek on May 17th in 17 Columbus, OH at the Rock on the Range festival.

Fans across the world will be able to catch the band live as they have also lined up appearances at the Soundwave Festival in Australia and a number of headlining spots at Europe's biggest rock festivals including Rock Im Park, Rock Am Ring in Germany, the PinkPop Festival in Holland, and the leading UK festival, Download at Donington Park. They have also announced two headlining shows at Summersonic in Japan.

The single "Shepherd of Fire" took the top spot on the Mainstream Rock and Active Rock charts and is the second single from the band's latest album 'Hail To The King' to reach No. 1.
