Singled Out: Oak Street Blues Share The Story Behind 'Damn This Chick'

Today Chris Hall from Oak Street Blues tells us about the song "Damn This Chick" from their most recent EP release "Calico". Here is the story:

When I first started writing "Damn This Chick," it started out as your standard party song. I love house parties; it's the best way to get girls. Bars never really work for me - the music is too loud and talking to girls feels more like a job interview.

So the song starts out real fun about drinking and hot girls. Then, somewhere, I changed it up and the song became about the do-or-die moment where you have to make that move and you either get the girl or you don't - a little serious. I think this is the epitome of a perfect party - a lot of fun with a little bit of seriousness.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
