(Classic Rock) Wilko Johnson and Black Spiders are among the latest names added to the bill for this year's Sonisphere festival. They'll join headliners Iron Maiden, Metallica and The Prodigy at Knebworth Park on July 4-6 to mark 40 years since the first large-scale music event at the iconic venue.

Also added are Electric Wizard, Dog Eat Dog (performing their album All Boro Kings in full), Anti-Flag, Brutality Will Prevail, Empire, Krokodil, Raging Speedhorn, Reckless Love, Stampin' Ground, TesseracT, The Defiled, The Hell, The Hype Theory and the Safety Fire.

Johnson is continuing to work despite being diagnosed with terminal cancer last year, and recently revealed details of an album he's recorded with The Who frontman Roger Daltrey. He's also been added to the bill for Status Quo's last-ever Frantic Four shows. He last appeared at Knebworth in 1978. more on this story
