Metallica's Lar Ulrich Revisits Napster Debate (A Top Story)

.
On Wednesday Metallica's Lar Ulrich Revisits Napster Debate was a top story. Here is the recap: (TeamRock Radio) Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich tackled the question of the band's notorious lawsuit against Napster when he took part in a Reddit Ask-Me-Anything session last week.

He insisted he didn't regret launching the action that resulted in the closure of the early filesharing network, but added: "I do find it odd how big of a part of our legacy it has become to so many people, because to me it's more like a footnote."

Ulrich stated the move was never about money, saying: "People used the word 'greed' all the time, which was so bizarre. The whole thing was about one thing and one thing only - control.

"Not about the internet, not about money, not about file sharing, not about giving sh*t away for free or not, but about whose choice it was. If I wanna give my sh*t away for free, I'll give it away for free. That choice was taken away from me." - more on this story
