Nicki Minaj, Drake, Migos and Soulja Boy End Year With New Songs
. First up is Nicki Minaj, who caps another successful year with an incendiary remix of PTAF's already racy track, "Boss A** B****." Releasing the new remix as a free download available via her official website, Minaj's hardcore lyrics let's it be known in no uncertain terms that she is indeed the boss, and that any man who dares "play" with her affections is in for a world of hurt (not to mention less than savory cellphone pics). The aggressive lyricism adds credence to the rapper's recent proclamations that her upcoming third full-length will feature less pop tracks and more street-directed rhymes: "I've been getting back to that place where I was before I dropped my first album which is 'kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill everything,'" Minaj said during a recent interview. Another already-popular song given the remix treatment is Drake's brand new tune, "Trophies." The Hit-Boy-produced tune wasn't even 24 hours old when breakout Atlanta trio Migos (best known for the 2013 hit "Versace") hopped on the track to create a remix, which is expected to appear on the group's upcoming mixtape, YRN 2, due for release early in 2014. Much like Migos remixing his song, Drake was inspired to release his own version of Soulja Boy's "We Made It," which is found on Soulja Boy's most recent mixtape, The King. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
