David Bowie Tops 2013 UK Indie Record Store Sales Chart

(hennemusic) David Bowie's "The Next Day" was the most purchased album in the UK's independent record shops during the last twelve months, according to the Official Charts Company.

Released in March, "The Next Day" placed No. 1 on The Official Record Store Chart Top 40 Of 2013, ahead of albums by Arctic Monkeys, Daft Punk, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and Queens Of The Stone Age.

"The Next Day" placed No. 23 on the overall Official Biggest Selling UK Albums Of 2013 Top 40. Bowie's first project in a decade also delivered the singer his first UK number 1 album in 20 years. more on this story
