(Radio.com) Q-Tip's life may be coming to the small screen this fall, thanks to his longtime buddy Leonardo DiCaprio. According to Deadline, the two are developing a scripted TV series together that will be loosely based on Q's experience with his hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest during the early '80s and '90s.
The show will reportedly reflect on Q-Tip's friendship with his fellow Tribe bandmates — Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Jarobi White — who he's known since high school.
The band's dynamic was previously covered in the 2011 documentary Beats Rhymes & Life: The Travels Of A Tribe Called Quest, directed by actor Michael Rapaport.
The show will also look at the role the New York group's Afro-centric music played in the culture then and now. more on this story
