Eddie Cotton Jr Returning With New Studio Album

(The Blues) Mississippi electric bluesman Eddie Cotton Jr is poised to release his second studio album 12 years after the launch of his first. The minister's son made his debut with 2000's Live At The Alamo Theatre, followed by studio record Extra two years later. Live Back At The Alamo Theatre appeared in 2006.

Now he aims to "bring total commitment to bear on a reinvigouration of soul-blues" on 10-track disc Here I Come, which appears on January 21 via Dechamp Records.

The guitarist and vocalist embraces R&B, funk and boogie on the new tracks including Leave Love Alone, Friend To The End and A Woman's Love. more on this story
