Status Quo Revisiting Piledriver With Deluxe Reissue

(Classic Rock) Status Quo will release a deluxe edition of their classic 1972 album Piledriver just before the line-up who recorded it play their last-ever shows together.

Stalwarts Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt will be joined once more by their Frantic Four colleagues Alan Lancaster and John Coghlan for six concerts in March and April, which Rossi has vowed will be better than those on their 2013 reunion tour.

But before them, Piledriver will be reissued in a double-disc edition featuring a bonus collection of live performances and radio sessions. Classic Rock's Dave Ling has written extensive sleeve notes for an all-new booklet, which also features rare photos by the band's former tour manager Bob Young. more on this story
