Today Cathercist frontman Zack Sawyer tells us about "If Anything At All" from their album "The Untimely Death of Zack Sawyer" to celebrate their upcoming tour with American Head Charge and Righteous Vendetta. Here is the story:

'If Anything at All' is about balancing the idea of self-worth through struggle. It was written from a place where I had lost sight of myself and the control I once possessed over my life and its direction. Sometimes, there's no fix and we cut ties with people. Confronting the situation could mean losing the person you care for permanently, but you have to. The blame game is just no fun for anyone. "If Anything at All" was written as a release to help deal with the current emotional issues of myself, and other members.

'If Anything at All' and the rest of "The Untimely Death of Zack Sawyer" was recorded at Echelon Studios in Birmingham, Alabama. We were afforded the privilege to work with Producer Joseph McQueen and Engineer Kevin Duthu. They were an integral part of the process that went into making this record, and we couldn't be more ecstatic to have had them on board!

After seven rigorous days, laying down track after track, we finally had sculpted out our vision of a debut album. You can spend years working on a record, and change almost every aspect of it in the last week.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and grab a FREE download right here!
