Paul McCartney Big Winner at Grammy Awards

(Classic Rock) Paul McCartney was the biggest rock winner of the night at the Grammy Awards on Sunday at Los Angeles' Staples Centre, leaving with a total of five awards.

He accepted a lifetime achievement award alongside Beatles bandmate Ringo Star and also scored Best Rock Song for Cut Me Some Slack, his collaboration with the surviving members of Nirvana.

His 2012 release Live Kisses was named Best Surround Sound Album and Best Music Film while the recent deluxe edition of Wings Over America scored Best Boxed Or Limited Edition Package.

Imagine Dragons won Best Rock Performance for their track Radioactive against competition from Alabama Shakes, Bowie, Zeppelin, QOTSA and Jack White. Other winners included Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl for his Sound City soundtrack, plus blues collaborators Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite. The Rolling Stones and Bill Withers tied in the Best Historical Album category. Check out the winner highlights list here.
