Red Hot Chili Peppers To Play Led Zeppelin Classic At Super Bowl?

(hennemusic) Surely, he jests. As the Red Hot Chili Peppers prepare to play the Super Bowl 48 halftime show with Bruno Mars on Sunday, drummer Chad Smith was asked what tunes the band will perform at the event.

"We're gonna play Led Zeppelin's live version of 'Dazed And Confused'", Smith told Artisan News at the recent Guitar Center Drum-Off Finals in Los Angeles.

Originally written and recorded by American singer/songwriter Jake Holmes, "Dazed And Confused" was redone by Led Zeppelin for their 1969 self-titled debut album.

While the studio version runs about 6.5 minutes, the song developed into the centerpiece of Zeppelin's live set, eventually clocking in at close to 45 minutes in performance. more on this story
