Allman Brothers Band To Retire From Touring
. Allman made the revelation to Relix in an interview they plan to run for their 40th anniversary issue. Allman told them, "This is it�this is the end of it." He adds, "45 years is enough and I want to do something else, anyway. Everyone has their own real good perspective bands." Allman's news comes after the surprising announcement that guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks planned to leave the group at the end of the year. However, Allman has not shut the door on the possibility of the band performing together in the future. He said, "Whose to say?," All We may get together every five years and just do one play at a time." Read the Relix report here.
