Former Nightwish Singer Anette Olzon Delays Solo Album

(Prog) Former Nightwish vocalist Anette Olzon's debut solo album will be released a month later than planned, she's confirmed. Shine was originally scheduled to appear on February 28 but will now arrive on March 31 after the project suffered problems, including issues with mastering and a video production over-running.

She recently said of the work: "The overall message is that life can be really dark and filled with hardship and sadness - but you can always choose to see some light coming through, to make you stronger and full of life, making you shine, no matter what."

Olzon last month exclusively told Prog that Nightwish had fired her in 2012, rather than reaching a "mutual understanding," as had been announced at the time. That led the band to lash back, accusing her of "misrepresentation and defamation." More including a video from the album.
