(The Blues) The founders of a new blues club have announced their launch event and inaugural monthly show, with the intention of securing the future of the genre in Edinburgh.

Plans were laid last year for the formation of the Edinburgh Blues Club and they'll be put into action at a fundraising concert in the city's Voodoo Rooms venue on March 7.

It's to feature performances by The Black Diamond Express, Jed Potts and the Hillman Hunters, Fraser John Lindsay's Blues Incentive, Hound Dog Fraser and Rock Hunter. more on this story
