Fences Release Collaboration With Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
. The three-piece released "Arrows" yesterday (July 29), a song that features Seattle rap duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for a verse or two. It's Macklemore on the rap, while Lewis contributes production for the new tune. "Arrows" immediately has the feel of a Lewis production coupled with OneRepublic-esque vocals and instrumentation, with Fences frontman Christopher Mansfield detailing a story of being kicked out by his old man "when I told him that I lived this way." Macklemore jumps in after the second chorus, rapping about being "blinded by this limelight" and dropping a line about Tom Petty. Listen here.
