Charli XCX Discusses Her Style (A Top Story)

.
On Thursday Charli XCX Discusses Her Style was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) Charli XCX is the woman singing the chorus on Iggy Azalea's "Fancy," this year's song of the summer. She's the woman who wrote last year's song of the summer, Icona Pop's "I Love It." And she's absolutely obsessed with slip dresses, but not because of some '90s retro fashion inspiration.

"This is kind of just a comfort thing," she says, laughing. "And a new found love for my breasts. I really want to embrace my breasts. I think every woman should because boobs are awesome."

That sort of frank thinking and talk encapsulates Charli's approach to fashion (and perhaps interviews). She says that although she is aware she's wearing a sheer Dolce & Gabbana slip dress, the point of it is not to tease or attract the male gaze. Her selection is entirely of her own design.

Quoting the opening of a Bikini Kill song, she tells us that she finds the idea of dressing for oneself to be cool and punk. "Men are only 50% of the population. Women can do what the f- they want," Charli says, flipping the bird. -
