Lou Reed Tribute Planned at SXSW

(Gibson) Lou Reed will be given a musical send-off with a tribute show in his honor at SXSW in March. The Official SXSW Tribute to Lou Reed is being presented by Reed's friends Richard Barone and Alejandro Escovedo.

Guests include Garland Jeffreys, Susanne Vega, Wayne Kramer, Bobby Bare Jr, The Fauntleroys, The Baseball Project, Louise Goffin, Cindy Lee Berryhill, Cheetah Chrome, Jesse Malin, The Black Lips and Sharon Needles.

The concert will take place at the Paramount Theatre on Congress Ave, Austin on Friday March 14. Gibson Brands for providing guitars and other equipment for all the performers. more on this story
