Chris Brown To Remain In Treatment Due to Mental Health Disorder
. At a hearing on Friday (Feb. 28), the singer's probation officer reported Brown "continues to make great improvement" in dealing with anger, stress and drugs, but CNN reports the judge said Brown can't go free just yet. Officials from Brown's rehab facility claim the singer is dealing with several serious issues including a mental health disorder and PTSD, among other issues. "Our clinical team believes Mr Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to [an] untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and [post-traumatic stress disorder]," officials from Brown's rehab facility wrote. The Guardian reports that he is now learning "behavioral strategies" and "relaxation exercises" to help him manage his "impulsive behaviors." Before Brown is released from his anger management program, he has to be tried on a 2013 assault charge in Washington, which is what led him to enter rehab initially. After his trial, the judge will make a decision on whether Brown's latest assault charge violated his probation in the 2009 assault of his then girlfriend, Rihanna. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
