Iron Maiden's Trooper Ale Sells Millions Without Advertising

.
(TeamRock Radio) Iron Maiden's Trooper ale has soared past the 3.5 million pint mark - without makers Robinsons having spent a single penny on marketing. The beer has bucked the national trend, with general sales down 5% over last year's figures.

Trooper was launched last year and production was quickly moved to an unprecedented six-day week to keep up with demand, even before it had gone on sale.

Brewery boss David Bremner tells the Morning Advertiser: "Distinctiveness and authenticity is really important for us. Trooper has more to it than just taste - it has a unique character and personality that fans buy into." more on this story
