Queen Reveal North American Tour Plans

Queen officially announced on Thursday that they will be launching a North American tour this summer and have recruited former American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert to handle lead vocals.

The tour is scheduled to kick off at the United Center in Chicago on June 19th and will include stops in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, San Jose, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Philadelphia, New York City, Uncasville and will conclude in Washington D.C on July 20th

"I'm honored to be able to pay my respects to Freddie's memory," said Lambert in a statement. "He's a personal hero of mine, and I am deeply grateful for the chance to sing such powerful music for fans of this legendary band."

This won't be the first time that Lambert has performed Freddie Mercury's legendary vocals with Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor. He first performed with them during the American Idol finale in 2009.
