Sontaag Preview 'The Rock Opera Pink Floyd Never Wrote'

.
(Prog) Ambitious prog band Sontaag have released a trailer for their self-titled debut album, described as "the rock opera Pink Floyd never wrote."

The storyline is based in the distant past, when giant harmonic machines were used to bring dead planets back to life - but in order to remain alive, inhabitants were forced to create music to continue the harmonies.

Sontaag features instrumentalist Richard Sontaag, vocalist Amanda Cross and drummer Milo Venter, with storyline and additional voice tracks by Ian Fortnam.

Despite comparisons to Floyd, Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells and Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds, the band say they prefer the description "sonic cinema."
