Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page To Receive Doctorate From Berklee Music

(hennemusic) Led Zeppelin guitar legend Jimmy Page will receive an honorary Doctor Of Music degree from Boston's Berklee College Of Music at their 2014 commencement ceremony on May 10.

The event, at Boston University's 7,000-seat Agganis Arena, will see more than 900 Berklee students graduate, with Page being honored alongside Geri Allen, Valerie Simpson and Thara Memory.

Past recipients include Duke Ellington (the first, in 1971), Aretha Franklin, Dizzy Gillespie, Quincy Jones, Smokey Robinson, Steven Tyler, Loretta Lynn, David Bowie, Juan Luis Guerra, Paco de Lucia, Carole King, Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss and George Clinton. more on this story
