(hennemusic) Metallica have been added to the list of performers who will honor Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne when he receives the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award at the 10th anniversary MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on May 12.
Joe Walsh will present Ozzy with the award, which Metallica's James Hetfield received in 2006; previous honorees include Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chris Cornell, Alice Cooper and Jerry Cantrell.
Ozzy and his solo touring band will perform at the event with special guest Slash. Osbourne will be recognized for support of the MusiCares MAP Fund which helps musicians with addiction problems. more on this story
