Brian Kramer Releases Album and Related Crime Thriller

. (The Blues) Sweden-based American Brian Kramer has released a blues album and published a tie-in novel at the same time. The steel player's Full Circle is matched to crime thriller Out Of The Blues, set against a backdrop of his own experiences in the music business.

His release comes after Rory Gallagher fans were treated to a tie-in of the guitarist's music and a crime novella inspired by it, written by novelist Ian Rankin.

Kramer - who's worked with Eric Bibb, Junior Wells and Taj Mahal - launched both of his works in Stockholm last week. The 10-track album features guitarist Chuck Anthony, harpist Mats Quartfordt, steel mandolinist Bert Deivert and vocalists Isabella Lundgren, Maria Bloom and Fanny Holm.
