Michael McDonald and Sara Evans Talk Doobie Brothers' Country Album
. In an interview with Billboard, Michael McDonald opened up about the still untitled project and which songs his country artist friends are working on. He said he's recorded new renditions of three '70s hits, "Takin' It to the Streets," "What a Fool Believes," and "You Belong to Me." McDonald revealed Love and Theft appear on "Takin' It to the Streets," while "You Belong to Me," has Gill teaming up with Amanda Sudano-Ramirez, daughter of Donna Summer and one-half of duo Johnnyswim. Sara Evans sings on "What a Fool Believes" and in an interview with Radio.com, she spoke about working on the record, which she says is almost like a duet album. "They're singing all their hits with different artists and they let me choose which song I wanted to sing," she told Radio.com. "Sometimes I'll think things through before I answer questions or requests like that, but I immediately wrote back, 'Yes of course! I love the Doobie Brothers!'" more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
