The Black Keys Debut New Song 'Fever' on Jools Holland
. The guys debuted the Danger Mouse-produced track on the British television show, LaterWith Jools Holland, showing a bit of restraint, something we're not used to from the blues rock duo. While Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach stuck to their signature instruments (drums and guitar, respectively) if you look close you'll see a keyboard player and a bassist lingering in the shadows. In a statement the band said, "We are always trying to push ourselves when we make a record-not repeat our previous work but not abandon it either. On this record, we let the songs breathe and explored moods, textures and sounds. We're excited for the world to hear Turn Blue." In an interview with NME, the band confirmed that one of their new songs, "Year in Review" includes a sample of Nico Fidenco, an Italian singer and movie soundtrack composer best known for his work on spaghetti westerns, which is something they've never done before.
