(Radio.com) Sugarland's Kristian Bush is gearing up for the launch of his first solo album. For his album, Bush has reunited with longtime producer Byron Gallimore (Faith Hill, Tim McGraw), who worked on Sugarland's Enjoy the Ride, Love On the Inside, The Incredible Machine and Golden and Green.

"I'm so excited to be working with Byron Gallimore again," Bush said in a press release. "I'm constantly surprised at how creative I feel and how innovative he is every time we hit record."

Producer Gallimore shared his excitement on the pair's collaboration. "After working on four records with Sugarland, I know Kristian's musical abilities well. He is a great singer, songwriter, and all-around musician. I am thrilled to be working with him on this album and proud to have him as part of our Streamsound Records family," Gallimore said in a release. "The music he is getting ready to drop on country radio is some of the most exciting I've heard in years."

While no release date has been set, Bush has been bringing fans into the process by filling them in on the plans on his website. "I am excited - and a little nervous - to announce that beginning this week, I am officially putting the finishing touches on my debut solo album," he wrote.

"From 300 songs, I have chosen 15. The next step is to get that down to 12. The songs need mixing and mastering. There are new sounds to be added and maybe new vocals to be sung. And then there is everything that goes along with an album release. I need to choose a title and a single and take new photos and design the album art and figure out the sequencing and introduce the music to my friends at radio and play more live shows." More
