Courtney Love Release You Know My Name Video

(Radio.com) No one is as good at telling the world go to f- itself as Courtney Love. That seems to be the sentiment she's going for with her video for "You Know My Name," an extension of the sentiment in the song's lyrics.

The opening shot gives us Love in a dress that looks like it's ripped from the "Miss World" era - cunning, given this video's arrival just in time for a myriad of pieces marking the 20 year anniversary of the release of Live Through This.

But there's a little something extra: glitter. So, so, so, so, so much glitter. The intentionally pale-skinned Love blows it at the camera and then rolls around on the floor in a group of disco balls, creating an effective middle finger up to all the glitter-enthusiast pop divas rolling around on stages everywhere. You know their names.

The pale makeup and shoes are a Romantic era nod to fashion and beauty, a bit of play with Love's interest in Marie Antoinette - something she thematically played with previously in imaging around Nobody's Daughter.

The decadent setting is anything but punk, but Love's delivery, thrown one single rose petal at a time, is like a gob to the face.
