According to Make-A-Wish, when Addy wasn't too tired from chemotherapy and radiation treatments, she practiced singing and dancing, specifically Perry's "Roar," the lyrics of which helped her stand-up to cancer.

So of course, it made sense that Addy would get a chance to show the world her roar with her own version of the video. But instead of traveling to the jungle like Perry did for her video, Addy goes back to school to perform at the talent show.
