Rosanne Cash, Robert Ellis Lead Americana Music Award Nominees

(Radio.com) Rosanne Cash, Robert Ellis and Jason Isbell are among the leading nominees for the 2014 Americana Honors & Awards, the Americana Music Association announced on Monday. Each earned nominations in the Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year categories.

Cash earned an Album of the Year nomination for her release The River and the Thread, and Song of the Year nomination for "A Feather's Not a Bird." Ellis was honored for his album The Lights From The Chemical Plant and song "Only Lies," while Isbell earned nominations for his album Southeastern and his song "Cover Me Up."

Rodney Crowell rounds out the Artist of the Year nominees, while Sarah Jarosz is the fourth Album of the Year nominee, for her release Build Me Up From Bones.

The nominees were announced live during a one-hour ceremony today that featured performances by Jim Lauderdale, bandleader Buddy Miller, Valerie June, Parker Millsap, Hurray For The Riff Raff and Elizabeth Cook. June, Millsap and Hurray for the Riff Raff all turned out to be 2014 Emerging Act of the Year nominees as well. See the full list here.
