Tupac Musical Preview Goes Online

(Radio.com) A new musical which uses the music of Tupac Shakur doesn't debut on Broadway until next month, but the cast is taking us behind the scenes in a new video.

The video also shows snippets of the cast working on a ballad version of "Unconditional Love," a song which Tupac wrote for MC Hammer, but was later included on his 1999 posthumous greatest hits album, and the title song, which has a strong New Jack swing vibe.

The musical, produced by the late rapper's mother Afeni Shakur, does not feature Tupac as a character, but does include the West Coast legend's music prominently. The show, which will star Saul Williams, has been described as a fictional story that provides a glimpse into the streets of modern-day America and their tenants. more on this story
