Disclosure Discuss New Album
. Touring around the world on the back of Settle, Disclosure's global profile has increased exponentially over the past two years, with singles like "Latch" featuring breakout vocalist Sam Smith generating pop radio airplay. An updated version of album track "F For You" with R&B legend Mary J. Blige on vocals turned up the band's public appeal even higher. While Disclosure is currently immersed in summer festival tour dates (including appearances at Bonnaroo, HARD Summer and Outside Lands), the brothers are starting to think about that intimidating second album, which they plan to start recording in September. "We've been trying a lot of different stuff, I think because of what Guy [Lawrence] said. Because we're not working for any particular release, we're not writing for an album or an EP, we're just having fun with it," Howard revealed. "We've been experimenting with different sounds, we've been listening to a lot of different music than we were with the first album. I think that will naturally happen. We're not going to stray anywhere too far from what we did the first time around. We still feel like we've got a lot to give in that area." When they're not performing live, the two are also accomplished DJs, spinning at clubs and festivals side by side as one. "We always DJ together. We've never not done that. I had to not turn up to a show the other day because I really injured my back, so Guy DJed on his own," Howard explained of a recent club gig in Los Angeles.
