However, Bacote, a legend on the streets of Brooklyn, took the fall for the incident, paying $50,000 to have the charges dropped against the rapper because of Jay's budding rap opportunities; the person bringing the charges would only allow for one of the two to have their charges dropped in a behind-the-scenes deal.
"Keep in mind Jay would have lost his moment of opportunity," he said. "He and I both would have been sitting in there doing more than 10 years." more on this story
