Seth Rogen Calls Out Macklemore

(Radio.com) Macklemore has come under fire - and hey, it's not for something he rapped this time - after a recent performance that saw him don a costume while rapping breakthrough single "Thrift Shop."

Video and photo evidence from the concert shows the rapper in a suit, wig, beard and large nose - looking suspiciously akin to a Jewish stereotype, with many calling it anti-Semitic.

Since footage of the performance, which took place at the opening of a music video-centric exhibit at Seattle's EMP Museum, found its way onto the Internet, Macklemore has been criticized for his choice of costume - which, according to Seattle Times journalist Lynn Jacobson in the caption of a photo from the concert, the rapper said he found after he "went to Costume Display," adding that he felt "like a man for the first time today."

A Vine taken by an attendee shows the rapper in the costume as well, with audio confirming the "Thrift Shop" performance. Of all the criticism of the getup, perhaps the most high profile has been Seth Rogen. Rogen, who is Jewish himself, took to Twitter to take Macklemore to task for the costume. "Macklemore," he tweeted at the rapper, "first you trick people into thinking you're a rapper, now you trick them into thinking you're Jewish?" Rogan wasn't the only one.
