Lil Jon Gives Tennessee Volunteers Pep Talk And More

(Radio.com) In perhaps the greatest instance of sports and rap phrases being combined for a pun all year, the Tennessee Volunteers made Lil Jon their unofficial mascot and began using the phrase "third down for what" whenever their defense forced an opposing team into third down.

The rapper honored the team with a visit to their locker room. Coach Butch Davis introduces Jon by playing his unimpeachable "Turn Down For What," before bringing the star out from the wings to thunderous applause.

Jon gives the team a brief pep talk: "We gotta tighten it up a little bit - we got Kentucky coming up, and I just wanted to stop by and give y'all some love right here in the flesh and commend y'all for what you been doing this year."

Coach Davis announces that they're going to give Jon a chance to watch the third down drill at practice, and then a dance party breaks out. Watch it here.
