Alison Krauss Impersonator Enters Plea
. Her trial date is set for Feb. 15, according to Arkansas' 40/29 News. Evers was transferred to Arkansas recently from New Mexico, where she had been arrested at an Albuquerque motel. Evers, who clearly looks nothing like Krauss, was nonetheless able to impersonate the singer on a dating website. She even convinced recently widowed 75-year-old Don Fulton that she was Krauss in person by singing some of her songs. She then conned Fulton out of his life savings and the deed to his house, even filing a will for him that named her as the heir. "I lost my wife back last June the 18th, and I was getting lonely and I was looking for some friendship," Fulton said, in a quote posted by New Mexico's KRQE in September.
