Chinese Artist Answers Gangnam Style With Chick Chick? (Recap)

.
On Tuesday Chinese Artist Answers Gangnam Style With Chick Chick? was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) Cultural differences aside, it's hard to say if the following music video is difficult for Americans to fully comprehend because it's from China. Like, it is hard to imagine that any breathing human being could not find this totally wacky. But, then again, maybe this chicken-themed song and music video is totally normal in the Far East. What we can tell your for sure is that the artist is Rong "Rollin" Wang, and the song is called "Chick Chick."

All that said, the basic plot of this clip is as follows: a fairy lady casts a spell and creates a girl group of chicken people. It is hard to say whether they are supposed to be humans dressed as chickens or literal half chicken/half human hybrids. Maybe that ambiguity is where the genius lies. Maybe.

From there, we get a whole lot of chicken dancing, a fair share of clucking, and some four-on-the-floor dance beats. But when the drop comes, the playful clucking becomes more of a crowing. It's abrasive, and, frankly, a little scary. And if you thought chickens were the only farm animal featured in this video, you are in for a mid-song surprise. It needs to be seen, and heard, to be believed. Check it out - here.
