Metallica, Springsteen, Dave Grohl Lead Concert for Valor
. They will join non-rock performers Eminem, Carrie Underwood, Rihanna and the Zac Brown Band at the benefit show that will be taking on the National Mall between the Capitol and the Washington Monument. The concert will raise funds for veterans charities and was organized by HBO, who will be broadcasting the event live, and Starbucks. The show will also include special appearances from Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, John Oliver and Meryl Streep. Metallica had this to say about the event, "We are honored to be asked to participate in a very special first-of-its-kind concert saluting U.S. veterans and their families on the National Mall in Washington D.C. this Veteran's Day, November 11, 2014 � "We're excited to play for those who have given so much of themselves for others as the night shines the spotlight on the more than 20 million American veterans who have served."
