(Radio.com) Damien Rice, the slow-burning Irish singer-songwriter and former member of Juniper, is plotting his return. After an eight-year hiatus, Rice has returned with news of a new album. My Favourite Faded Fantasy - not to be confused with Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - arrives Nov. 11 on Warner Bros in America. Coincidentally, Rick Rubin, who worked with West on his last album Yeezus, will be handling production for Rice's new full-length LP.

After teasing the title track Wednesday, when he announced his comeback, Rice has now shared "My Favourite Faded Fantasy" in full. Like many of his solo songs, it's a slow-building ballad where Rice's lyrics trickle out like he's telling secrets into your ear - especially with the lines, "You could be my poison, my cross, my razor blade / I could love you more than life if I wasn't so afraid / What it all could be."

The homespun love song takes a left-of-center turn near the end ending with a bang. Zane Lowe will premiere of the official single, "I Don't Want to Change You," on Sept. 23 on BBC Radio. Check out the new song here.
