Jagged Edge Return With New Song Ready

. (Radio.com) Jagged Edge haven't released any music since 2007's Baby Makin Project, but their true heyday came in the late '90s and early 2000's, with projects like J.E. Heartbreak (2000), Jagged Little Thrill (2001), and Hard (2003).

On Aug. 2 the group announced the track list of a new project, J.E. Heartbreak 2 - and now we finally have the first taste of the project. "Ready" finds the quartet still going strong and sticking to their guns, lyrically: "Baby starting here today / I'm changing all my ways / I'm racing fast-forward / To your love."

Jagged Edge songs are usually about either breaking up or settling down. Two decades into their career and they've settled firmly on the latter. They're convincing, too. "Ready" is vintage Edge, voices swirling and harmonizing like honey mixed with syrup. Check out the song here.
