(Radio.com) YG hasn't done many interviews since being shot three times in a Los Angeles studio in June. But he did speak with hip-hop journalist and podcaster Elliott Wilson for a new episode of Wilson's Rap Radar Podcast on Play. It, which is live now.

In the interview, YG says that he's had a hard time trusting anyone since his shooting. "The circle is real small right now. Especially 'cause I just got shot. I don't trust nobody. I don't know who shot me. I don't trust muthaf--s. I don't like muthaf--s right now."

"I feel like when I'm in the 'hood, I'm safe," he says. "I'd rather go to the hood. I feel safer in the hood than goin' to the mall or something." He notes that he wounds were thankfully not serious. "That was the first time I got shot. I thought the bullet would've hurted more. But I didn't get hit in an artery or bone, it was all flesh."
