Crying Foo Fighters 'My Hero' Fan Reveals Reason For His Tears

(Radio.com) When Foo Fighters' recent performance of "My Hero" moved a fan to cry at a recent performance, many, including frontman Dave Grohl himself, assumed the fan was drunk and just overcome with emotion seeing his favorite band singing a favorite songs.

Well, an interview with the fan on a local rock station (via Uproxx), the fan (Anthony) revealed the real reasons why he was so moved by the moment, and booze did not play a factor.

'My mom died about six months ago," he said, "and I'd just got back from Europe putting her in her crypt, and he just started singing it and I just got all emo. What I hated is he was like, 'Oh he's a drunk guy.' I was dead sober. I don't drink. You know, I might have had a little Colorado green, but I don't drink." Read more here.
