The aborted reunion of the 'Eat 'Em and Smile' era David Lee Roth band will reportedly still take place, following the original free show being shut down by a fire marshal last month when too many fans showed up for the concert.

The original show, which was arraigned to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band, was scheduled to take place on November 30th during the Ultimate Jam Night at Lucky Strike Live Hollywood/Highland in Los Angeles.

The show was advertised to feature guitarist Steve Vai, bassist Billy Sheehan, drummer Greg Bissonette, and keyboardist Brett Tuggle with guest vocals from Steel Panther's Michael Starr (Ralph Saenz) but was to include a surprise appearance by Roth.

The Van Halen frontman was filmed leaving the venue after the fire department shut down the show. He told fans, "I apologize about this evening. Looks like we were too popular. There were too many folks, so we're going to try and find a place that has should we go to the Hollywood Palladium maybe?"

Now there is additional confirmation that the group still plans to stage a reunion show. The David Lee Roth News Desk Facebook group posted the following on Saturday (Dec 12): "Billy Sheehan confirmed tonight with the DLRND that there will in fact be a reunion of the 'Eat Em And Smile' band."
