Faith No More Set Release Of Sol Invictus Album
. Faith No More have made it official that they are back with the announcement that they will be releasing their first new studio album in 18 years, entitled "Sol Invictus," on May 19th. The band recorded the album in their Oakland, Ca studio with producer Bill Gould, who recent said the following in an interview about the effort, "What I can say is that I think through our experience as musicians over the years, I think what we're doing reflects where we've gone since we made our last record as Faith No More. I think this kicks things up a notch. "And I think there's parts that are very powerful and there's parts that have a lot of "space." Everything we do, with our chemistry, the way we play; it's always going to sound like us. It's just what we do, that makes us feel good." As previously reported, the band will be supporting the new album with the launch of their first North American tour since 2010 on April 15th in Vancouver, BC at PNE Forum. Prior to the American tour the band will also be playing a series of dates in Japan later this month before they head to Australia to take part in this year's Soundwave Festival and the WestFest in New Zealand. The band will follow the North American tour with appearances at several leading European music festivals in May and June and will also appear at Heavy Montreal on August 7th.
